Admissions
Feature 1
1Complete our online inquiry form.
2Arrange a Zoom interview with an admission officer
Contact the admissions office, admissions@ocwillisarts.org, to arrange a Zoom interview with a member of the admission team. The zoom interview will last about an hour and includes a student interview followed by a parent/guardian interview (at least one parent/guardian should be available).
3Schedule an educational development session
We have developed a program to help prospective families explore the primary focus of O.C. Willis and get to know the community. Prospective students will experience an arts and education development session, giving them an opportunity to help them clarify their goals and discover more about who they are as an artist. OCSA is pleased to offer this opportunity for all prospective students who are looking for more direction in their educational journey. This session is separate from the admissions interview and can provide further insight into the school’s environment. The development session and interview will be scheduled at different times. A development session is not required for the application process but can serve as an important complement during exploration.
To get more information about development sessions, email admissions@ocwillisarts.org.
4Register for the appropriate test
O.C. Willis is committed to ensuring that students will be successful once enrolled. The testing process helps us to achieve that goal. Students participate in a test battery consisting of personality, character skills, and cognitive tests. Testing may be scheduled by contacting an admission officer.
Schedule a language-proficiency test if English is not your first language.
All students, for whom English is not their first language, are required to take the DuoLingo test. For Day Students, please ensure that test results are available for submission prior to the application deadline.
5Complete the application
O.C. Willis participates in an application process through Private School Connections. Please submit the online application. The application for Day Students is due by February 15th. Distance Learning Students are accepted on a rolling basis, space permitting.
6Ask for References Early
See the Private School Connections online application for instructions on getting the recommendation forms.
7Complete the Financial Aid Application
If you are applying for financial aid, please notify the Admission Office and review the instructions for that process here. Completion of the Parents’ Financial Statement and submission of current tax information are requirements of the process. For Day Students, financial aid applications are due by February 28th. Distance Learning students may apply for financial aid through the quick determination process. Please contact the admission office for an application.
8Notifications
To be considered for an admission decision on April 3, all components of the application must be received by February 15th. All candidates and their parents will be emailed a code to the OCSA communications app. Please regularly check the email accounts that you provide to our admission office. Your school log on credentials will allow you to view important information, learn about upcoming events, receive official notes from the O.C. Willis Admissions Office. Decisions will be posted to your Willis communications account and will also be mailed on April 3. We ask that Day Student families let us know of their intention to enroll before May 1 with a signed contract and enrollment deposit. O.C. Willis will accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the spring, subject to the availability of space.
