DANCE AT O.C. WILLIS
Pushing boundaries of movement to create artistic visions that make a statement
Students in the dance track take courses in technique and movement theory. We offer technique courses in ballet, modern, jazz, and contemporary. The students perform faculty, guest, and student choreography at the end of every semester. Students will also be able to collaborate with other departments to produce solo and group projects that coincide with the core curriculum.
All students will participate in the writing of a thesis or a project that integrates different fields of study to thoroughly explore a topic, question, or problem in great detail. Advisors/mentors will work closely with students in selecting a topic, conducting research, writing, and revising a thesis or developing a comprehensive project. Students are encouraged to take elective courses that complement areas of interest and enhance their thesis or project.
